About Acorn Cooperative Preschool

The Acorn Cooperative Preschool is a welcoming community of families dedicated to encouraging curiosity and learning throughout the early stages of infant and child development. Our pholosophy is based on a respect for the uniqueness of each individual child, family and culture. Children are introduced to pre-reading skills and number recognition, as well as art, nature, and music through a play-based curriculum. Our activities at ACP reflect the natural stages of cognitive, physical and soical development of children (infants, crawlers, walkers, etc.) from ages zero through five. We recognice that each child is unique and will move through these stages at his/her own pace.

The preschool is open to anyone with a child under the age of six. ACP is non-denominational and does not descriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admissions policies, and school administered programs.

It is our hope that by coming together, we can build a better world for our children through a love of learning.
